GEORGE WALTER LIENESCH
1922-2006

George Walter Lienesch, 83, of Long Beach died April 2, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alice Annette Lienesch; children, Alison Louise (Michael) Sanders and George William (Sharon) Lienesch; granddaughter, Heather Sanders; siblings, Donald, William and Louise Nichols of IL. Born July 16, 1922 near Roundup, MT to George Fischer and Cecil Gladys Lienesch, he was raised in O’Fallon, IL. He studied engineering at Tri State Engineering School in IN and served in the Army Air Corp with the 8th Air Force in England during WWII. George moved to CA in 1949 and settled in Long Beach. He worked as a draftsman and in real estate. He was a member of the VFW and the Masons. George was a selfless man beloved by his family and his wide circle of friends. A Memorial Service will be held April 29 at 11 a.m. at Living Rock Church in Norwalk, CA. Memorial donations may be sent to George Lienesch Memorial, VFW Post 8615, 2805 E. South Street, Long Beach, CA 90805.
